Meetings

The Main Group meet at Mary Tavy village hall on the 1st Saturday of each month between 10.30 and 3.30.  We have an organised monthly programme of events focusing on one of the three crafts. This may involve an in-house or external speaker or workshop. Please feel free to bring your spinning wheel, weaving, knitting etc. to any meeting and exchange ideas.

The Weaving Group meets in the Mary Tavy Coronation Hall on the second Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Please let the host know if you would like to attend by emailing us at info@petertavywsdguild.org.uk

Once a year we have an outing and a picnic.

One of our aims is the holding of a bi-annual exhibition of members work. Everyone is encouraged to exhibit at least one item and to take part in stewarding.

During the year we demonstrate at local events such as village fairs and shows and volunteers are always welcome.

Here is an interactive map of the Coronation Hall showing the A386 running through Mary Tavy. The hall is the rectangular block in the centre.

When driving through Mary Tavy, look for the Post Office shop on the A386  on a slight bend in the centre of village. On the opposite side (the Dartmoor side) look for a untarred road entrance right across the road from the Post Office shop. This narrow drive runs alongisde a new housing development   to the Coronation Hall about 100 yards away.
